Lynn Morgan Carpenter: When you are unable to achieve a goal or to create forward movement in an area of your life that you want to expand or enhance or even an area that you're wanting to reinvent, oftentimes it comes down to a missing ingredient. And this ingredient is essential and its boundaries. So having healthy boundaries in place and maintaining them really gives you the setup to have the desired results that you're looking for. And I'll tell you, boundaries is, it's a very meaty topic. There's a lot to it. I actually went through a six-month certification specifically on this topic because number one, it's essential. It is essential to know how to set and maintain healthy boundaries to have and create the life that you desire. Number two, it's challenging to have clarity of exactly how to do that, especially if you land in the area of being a people pleaser. If you land in the area that your value comes from outside sources, it can be very difficult to know even how to create a boundary. And the thing is too, is that often we'll think of a boundary as being need needed to be set with other people. And I'm gonna tell you that actually, the majority of your boundaries need to be set and maintained by you. So it's setting a boundary with yourself. And I want to encourage you this week as this will be the focus of how you can implement healthy boundaries and maintain them so that you can create the shifts and changes that you desire. And as we focus on this, this is tying in last week. So last week I shared with you that across the board with all of my clients, what I'm witnessing is that there is a shift energetically taking place. And there's more of an opening and a flow of people having more clarity of the areas they want to shift and change in their lives, and having the energy behind it of, I'm willing to do the work. I'm willing to see what I need to see. I'm willing to do what I need to do to make these shifts and changes in my life. And because there's energetically this energy that's taking place, which is really beautiful 'cause you can almost think of it as having steam behind you that's propelling you forward. And I wanna give you a tangible, practical life concept, which is boundaries to support the universal energy that's taking place right now. So hopefully, if you haven't already, what you do want to do is identify the area of your life that you're wanting to create positive changes in, or even reinvent. And now think of the boundaries that you can place with yourself to allow for positive movement to happen in this area. Forward movement is what we're looking for here, and it doesn't have to be accelerated, but it does need to be step-by-step. And one of the key components of allowing you to achieve those steps is having the appropriate boundaries in place. And like I said, these are boundaries with yourself. And really the easy way to set these is answering this question: As I look at this particular area of my life, whether it's career or it's relationship, or it's with your health or whatever, your particular area that you're wanting to expand or change or reinvent, then say, what is it that I need to do? What's one thing that I will do or will not do in order to have a positive step towards this? That's setting a boundary with yourself. You know, if it's how you interact in a particular relationship and you witness that when this particular conversation comes up or topic, this becomes, this creates conflict in our, in our relationship. So then setting a boundary with yourself that if I typically be the one and am the one to initiate this topic, then I need to make that different. I need to no longer bring that topic up. If I am creating shifts and changes in my health and I'm choosing to incorporate more physical movement, then I have to look at my schedule, set a boundary with myself of how I'm gonna insert and make time for the physical movement, the exercise, so that I am moving forward with this desire of improving my overall health. So these are just a couple of examples, but really what I want you to do is just think of the area you're wanting to reinvent. And now we're going to put a practical tool in place, which is, what is one thing that you will do or will not do to support this reinvention, to support this positive change? This is where we're gonna start. Micro-steps added up over time, create big results. And this is where the changes start. So identify what is one healthy boundary you can set with yourself to create the forward movement that you most desire today.
