Self-Connecting Journal Prompt

Lynn Morgan Carpenter: So this week I really just have the message where I'm gonna invite you to come in to celebrate your life. So yes, we're coming up on the 4th of July, and we'll be celebrating our freedom, which is our beautiful gift. And also I invite in addition to that, to really look at how you can also celebrate your life, celebrate where you are, where you are today. And you know, you might be with friends, you might be with family, you might be also going through a hard time. And sometimes when we're going through the struggle, it can be challenging to look at those moments of celebration.

And I'm actually just recalling a memory. So five years ago, my dad was, was newly diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and um, it was on 4th of July that he received his port to get and receive his chemo. And that evening, my son and I went to the hospital and I remember in his room that it was dark and we, we were looking out the window and we were able to see the fireworks that the city had out through his window. And, I look at that as a, as a moment of celebration and I definitely look back on that and like, wow, I'm so glad we got that experience together. But that was a moment of celebration and we were going through hard.

So I just encourage you that wherever the state of your life is right now, cuz I know some of you, you're going through some hard times. I just wanna support you to be able to find the moments of celebration even in the hard. And then for those of you that maybe you're on an, on an upswing because we have these cycles in our lives. And if you're on an upswing and things are feeling a little lighter and brighter to be able to celebrate that too. But really this week's message is find the ways to deeply connect to your life and choose to fall madly in love with where your life is today. Nurture it, love it, honor it, and just allow this to be a week of celebration. However you can do the celebration, whatever the celebration looks like for you, but put some intention behind it and allow this week to be a week of celebrating you and your beautiful life.
