Lynn Morgan Carpenter: So much of our energy is wrapped up in our thoughts, the way we think and what we're thinking about. So this week I want to support you to really start to put some intention around this and start to discover where your thoughts are so that you can determine and pull back energy, positive energy to be able to fuel your life. So this actually comes from the work of Byron Katie, and she talks about how there's only three types of business in the universe. There's only three types. One is our personal business. The other is your business, so somebody else. And then the third is God's business and however you identify with that. So as we are going on and thinking about our thoughts, it's really helpful to do a check-in, especially if you feel a bit unsettled inside. If you're having anxiety, if you are feeling maybe even some heaviness or loneliness, that is the point to check in and say, whose business am I in right now? Am I in somebody else's business? Am I in God's business? Which God's business is things fully out of our control, and so is the business of other people. God's businesses that can involve natural disasters and war and things of, of that nature. So very much out of our control.
So this week, I want you just to cue into yourself and see, start to train your mind to come back and be in your business. Be in your business. So not in a whole different state. Maybe you have a grown child or you have a friend, or you have a sibling that's in a different state, and you're having some, some internal unrest for whatever that might be, or thinking about, well, they should be doing this in their lives and they should be running their lives in this manner. Again, that's that check-in and say, okay, whose life am I in right now? And the reason why this is so important is because when we are devoting time, energy, and thoughts to somebody else's life, to God's business, that detracts from our energy, it pulls from our energy, it detracts from our unique, beautiful, glorious lives, and it causes us to get off course. So here's the deal. If we have a focus of any type of forward movement that we're wanting to have in our lives, improvements, maybe expansion, growth goals, achievements, whatever that is, if we are spending a certain amount of our energy in these other businesses and not just directly on ours, then that detracts from our lives. So this week really focus on your thoughts and ask yourself these three simple things. So when you're going around, okay, whose business am I in? And when you answer well, I'm in my business. That's the place to be. That's where it is. That's where the harmony is going to come in. That's where you'll have that beautiful forward movement in your life. So focus on which business you're in this week and really reclaim your energy. Pull your energy back to you, your life, and allow it to be a beautiful experience for you within your thoughts. How we look at things is from our thoughts. Change the way you're looking at something and how you can change that is say, okay, that is their business. This is God's business and I'm going to tend to my own business.
