Lynn Morgan Carpenter: So the summertime can be a really fun and exciting time, but it also can be exhausting. It is often packed with activities that we don't typically do, can be later nights because of the longer days, more travel. And so with these fun activities that we absolutely love and we enjoy, and for those of us who have children and the children are home it just sets a different pace and it's great and it's glorious. And I always find that when the time comes, when the routine can soak back in and settle in, that is beautiful as well. So if you are similar to our home, Monday is a new fresh school year that begins and starts. And I always take this opportunity as a fresh start for myself. So if you're feeling like me, that you could use a little refresh, a regroup and reboot, this is the time to do it, and I want to invite you to do it along with me.

So this is the time when I start to look at how I can get back into a routine. And I look at this routine in regards to my nutrition and movement of my body and also my sleep schedule. The other thing I like to do is that I'll take one or two projects that I've been pushing off just to being busier or operating at a higher level during the summer months, but it's wearing on me as I look at it. So these can be things like I have a couple suitcases that I need to unpack from some of our travels. I also have a freezer that I wanna cleanout. And it's just something that every time I look at it, I'm like, oh my gosh, I, I wanna do that. And now I am going to make the point because it just helps to kind of regroup and get back into, okay, I'm resetting myself, I'm doing some of these things in the home. I'm getting myself into a routine. I'm accomplishing a few of these things that've been wearing on me.

And this time of year is also really good to revisit your goals. So setting your goals at the beginning of the year, really looking at those and reassessing and seeing where are you on the timeline of those goals. Because before we know it, before we know it, it will be the end of the year. It's crazy how time flies, but it will be here. So I always feel like although we're in August and we have several more months before the end of the year, it's a good time to revisit and also to maybe shift some of those goals. Maybe they have changed or become different. So I know for myself, I'm dedicating the rest of the year to really put time and energy and make writing my book a primary project. And I am actively doing things in my schedule and putting things in my calendar to make this a priority so that I can move forward on that goal and be at a much further place if not done by the end of the year.

And I just wanna encourage you: look at your goals. What did you set? Are you needing to shift some of them? Maybe some of the goals you set at the beginning of the year, they're not applicable any longer and they need to be revised or completely be new, new to you. So whatever that is for you, I just wanna encourage you to take a look. So yes, this is our time of regrouping, refreshing, coming back into routine, which does feel nice when you've been out of routine and looking at nutrition movement, your sleep schedule, the some small projects that have just been gnawing on you and been right here. Go ahead and just complete those and then revisit your goals and start putting action in place, look at your calendar where you can schedule intentional time to move forward on those goals. So this is our time to regroup, refresh, and get back into a routine. Here we go!
